BACKPACKING TRIP!

WHAT:  A 3-day backpacking trip on the Ice Age Trail in the Northern Unit of the Kettle Morraine State Forest.  You do not need to be an experienced or in-shape backpacker to do this trip!  Transportation provided!  Rain or shine!

WHEN:  Join us….September 17 – 19th (Friday to Sunday).  MEET AT 7AM FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 17th AT CONNECTIONS COUNSELING.

WHO:  We can take up to 7 people.  The first to sign up, pay and notify us if you need to borrow gear are in! 

HOW:  Ask off of work, save your money, don’t assume you can’t do it. Get ready for an adventure….more details to come (where we are meeting the morning of departure, etc.)

Here’s how are trips are running now.  Simple steps.

1. Decide you want to come on this trip.  These trips are way cool.  You will learn more about yourself than you thought possible in 2 – 3 days.
2. Sign up, pay $50 and let us know (call or email us!) if you need to borrow any gear or have any questionsat least 2 weeks before this trip starts (by September 3rd).  We have to set a deadline so we know how many people are coming, what gear is needed and how much food to buy.  This is a great opportunity to practice integrity, follow-through, deadlines, not making excuses, and planning ahead. 
3. Money.  This trip costs $50/person.  What a deal!   This includes food, gas, camping.  Please make your check out to The Recovery Foundation, put it in Jessie Kushner’s mailbox by September 3^rd, no later!!!!!  Talk to you primary counselor if you want to apply for a scholarship.  Once you have paid, you are in.  Wahoo!!!!!  No refunds after Sept. 3^rd.
4. Gear.  See gear list posted next to this sheet. Let us know if you do not have something you need by Sept. 3^rd.  We will lend you what you need!
5. Please plan to attend a pre-trip meeting at Connections Counseling on Wednesday, Sept. 15^th at 7 pm.  We will go over gear, food preferences, etc.
